Each piece evokes the feeling of its namesake Madeleine Lucille, the late mother of the designer. Madeleine Lucille was an artist and creative life force. She was a bohemian housewife of the 1960s, a magical combination of sensuousness, humility, resourcefulness and resilience.

The designer of Madeleine Lou incorporates personal stories from her lifelong passions of travel, books and cooking into each piece she designs and handcrafts. The colors she selects reflect the simple yet spectacular scenes that she (and most of us) love in life: a beautiful beach at daybreak, the views from a hike to the top of a mountain and a desert walk at sunset.
